I know I'd need to have my amp biased if I used different valves from those already in it, but what if I just replaced them with the same type and brand? Would it still need to be re-biased or could I just stick them in?

Thanks.

i think if its same type and brand, you dont need to rebias, but dont trust me on that. its always safe to check the bias anyway
NOPE

different tubes, even those of the same brand draw different current.

you need to rebias, always.

Thanks for the info. So I suppose I'll need to take it to a tech to bias it, right?

I mean... anyone can bias their by themselves, they just need to know how to do it and how to do it safely. Lots of high voltage going through that amp...

But I think in your case you might want to have a tech do it.
