Im looking for a pickup which will give my epiphone les paul a classic rock sort of sound. (e.g Aerosmith, Zeppelin sort of thing) Can you give me any suggestions? Thanks

Seymour Duncan Alnico IIs are great pups i tried them on slash's signature Les Paul through a VOX AC 50 last week and it made the amp sing like the angels

duncans are alright... you can never go wrong with gibson 57's or the duncan 57's witch are pritty much teh same thing... but what i would do is look for a pair of PAF's my brother hand winds them they are perfict for that kinda thing...

First off Seymour Duncan doesn't make any pickup called the '57 they make the '59. Secondly, they sound nothing like the Gibson 57's.

Or ^ Bareknuckle Black Dogs, seeing as they were designed for a Led Zep sound.
I can also pretty much nail it on my Abraxas set.

Also check out www.rockmonkeyguitars.com - CorduroyEW on here makes them and there is (I think) a discount for UG members. Kinda regretting not going to him first when I got my new p/us, but oh well, I'm happy with the BK's anyway.

BUT, all of the above is irrelevant and bad advice, unless you have a good guitar and nice amp... So what are you playing through?

WCR Fillmores, Crossroads, Darkbursts all do the classic rock sound incredibly well.
