i know that i can't run a bass through a guitar amp, but i can run a guitar through a bass amp on clean... but can i run a guitar through a bass while on distortion?

Just to see what type of sound i would get, i ran my guitar through a "Metal Muff" distortion pedal, and to the bass amp, and the sound was freakin sweet...

i only did played that for a minute, because i wanted to get information about whether this would damage the speaker or not..

my bass amp is a 10watt peavey if that changes anything...idk

I don't think you've damaged your speaker. Bassists use fuzz/distortion all the time.

I don't see why it would damage anything, but don't know for sure.

well, for maybe 6 weeks, my setup was my pod going stereo through a guitar amp and a bass amp. the bass amp still works fine, so i dont think you'll get any problems.

Head and Cab for $130? You don't need a head and cabinet, you need a psychological examination.
