I'm using the standard Dunlop Tortex picks 1.0MM. But I just cant keep those bastards in my fingers without it twisting or falling out. I got a good kung fu grip so I don't know what it is. Any suggestions on some picks that are great for staying in place?

So if I buy a Les Paul standard and throw it 200 mph, its binding will generate downforce?

Keep practising. After awhile they just learn to stay put.

I use Jazz IIIs.

Same. The .73 are the yellow ones, and they're my favorites.

I can't use Jazz IIIs personally. I can't pick hard enough and there's not enough to grab. I wish I could find tortex .88's with grip haha.

Gator grips

i use 1.14 mm and i have never picked faster or dropped a pick

imo jazz IIIs are too small and don't fit my technique. Standard picks are too big. Gator grips are just right.

Vpicks shredder.

These or red Jazz III's. Both have their benefits and both have things that annoy me.
#19
looks like the general consensus goes for jazz III's
I've been using them since the summer, I tried going back to tortex picks but it just wasn't the same
#21
I love Gator 2mm's. The only gripe I have is the grip wears out too fast (hehe), but since I'm cheap, I keep using them anyways.

I had a similar problem with the Tortex, I switched to the Jazz III XL's and then made the transition to the Jazz III's. It took getting used to but I love em now

I don't see what the big fuss with Jazz III picks are about, I used one for a while, thought it was great for picking, but eventually hated them for chording and strumming. Right now I'm using Everly Star picks which I like a lot. I don't really think they're any better than other picks, but they're just what I have lying around and I've grown somewhat fond of them.

just got some gator grips and jazz IIIs today.

I find gator grips are much better all around and i just can't play comfy with the jazz IIIs

Cool. I ordered some Jazz III, Jazz III XL and even threw in some Gorilla Snot. Didn't know that existed lol.

I go between Stubby's and Jazz III's. I like the way stubby's slip off the strings, but I like the way the Jazz III's sound. I wish I could find a happy medium

I have found a pick better than the black Jazz III....drumroll please

The ultex Jazz III, just like the black ones except maybe a wee bit stiffer and last wayyyyyyyyyyyy longer my favorite pick evar.

I'd beg to differ. I prefer the black nylon Jazz III's over the Ultex ones, but that's just me.

I was back in civilization over Christmas so I bought lots of picks and strings. My normal heavy tortex and Dunlops....but bought only 2 Fender heavy small teardrops. Wish I bought 100, I like the tip, its a bit more pointy. They are great but wear out in about 8-12hrs. SEE PIC.
