Hey guys, yesterday, I got my first electric guitar. Its an Epiphone SG and its really nice, but I was just wondering what are some good beginning rock songs that I could play. I want something relatively simple but still challenging. Thanks!

I agree with Black Sabbath, that is what I played when I started. Nirvana and Foo Fighters are easy to play too.

Seeing as he just started how about he learn to play? Learn chords, scales and other useful stuff instead of wasting your time.

its not wasting his time, learning songs will make him learn the chords.
you should learn some scales though.
have you considered lessons?

I didnt just start I have been playing off and on for about 2 years but just got really serious about 3 months ago. I have taken lessons from two different people and both were just a waste of money. I have learned more from teaching myself out of a book than I have with lessons. And I already know chords and scales, Im just looking to learn some good basic songs for now.
