Hey UG,

This is my first time recording myself, and I get a bit camera-shy, so excuse the sloppiness and poor A/V quality. I used my MacBook Pro and Photobooth for recording both audio and video.

Whatcha think?

Cliffs of Dover, Intro

I listed the settings in the vid.

I've got a Shure SM57 that I want to use to mic this, but I'm not sure what the best way to integrate it with my computer is. Any ideas there?

Great playing, but the effects you had running kind of compromised the sound

That's really more the fault of the mic tbh. In the room it sounds completely different.

I had my Macbook sitting off to the side and about 5ft from the amp. Any closer and the clipping is just monstrous.

Any idea what the best way to get a Shure SM57 hooked up to my computer is? I'm willing to spend around $200-$250 but I'd like to have something that's gonna last me a while, and I can plug into directly as well as through a mic.

Oh, and PS - Thanks!

NICE. Don't listen to comments on your tone, mate - tone is as personal as what style of underwear you wear, so it's all subjective. The playing was spot-on.
