I've been seeing these polls everywhere, so I figured, The Pit needs one. And so, here it is UG. I'll reserve my opinion so that the poll isn't biased.

Absolutely terrible!!

But hey what can you expect from that tiny monkey brain of his!!
#8
I'm going to say disappointing because he was dealt a ****ty hand and couldn't deal with it.

Although I do completely disagree with the man on just about any issue you could care to raise.
#10
In 10 years he wont be hated as much when people go back and look at all that has happend. I dont think he was the worst we've ever had but not the best. So I'd say fair.
#11
i think he deserves more credit than he gets it (after all we havnt had an attack on us since 9/11)
i'd say good

Your logic's got an 'ole in. "It's everywhere, I'll make another!"
And so, here it is UG. I'll reserve my opinion so that the poll isn't biased.
You can give us your opinion without biasing this poll, you know.

Please explain your poll choice. Oh...and play nice, kids (no flaming, and no "search bar" or "political thread" jokes).

If you see a political thread joke coming, maybe it's because you have missed the political thread. You don't get to do what you want because you say so.

When was the last attack on American soil before 9/11? After all, I haven't poisoned anybody with a bologna sandwich since he took office, so he must kick ass at preventing that too.

I'd say disappointing. I don't agree with Bush, but that doesn't make him a terribe president. He has some pretty ****ty situations that he had to deal with. I think he could've handled them better than he did, but I'm sure it was a hard decision.
#17
How about you come back in 4 years and ask the same question of his predecessor. That should be laughable.
#18
full of fail
I was listening to what may be his last ever confrence before he stands down (about the conflict in Gaza) and he honestly didnt sound like he had a clue what he was saying.
" Did You know, in Tibet, if they want something, do you know what they do? They give something away."

"Do they ? That must be why they're such a dominant global power."

"Successor," you mean? It wouldn't make sense to ask about Clinton.

Terrible. The econimy is in a funk big time. Political Correctness has over taken America by storm. i.e. homosexuality, retards, christmas etc etc.He totaly ****ed over the rest of the worlds opinion on America as we are now the country of fat stupid slobs. Although it was probably like that before Bush. It is just horrible. Im only 17 but I can tell it was 8 years of hell for people. Sad thing is it can only get worse before it gets better.
#22
Make up your own mind about him, but anyone who votes for excellent or terrible is a mindless idiot who is either jumping on a bandwagon and saying he was a terrible president, or overreacting in backlash to the negative views of him and voting excellent. The man had a pretty average presidency, somewhere between "bad" and "pretty good" depending on how you align with his views. He was in no way terrible or excellent.

EDIT: Bush is responsible for Americans being fat and lazy? And 8 years of hell for Americans is ridiculous. The economy boomed during his first six years, the last two years have been the only years in which it was poor. You sir, are an ignoramus.

I was greatly disappointed. He mishandled an opportunity to make America great. Instead we are now greatly despised around the world.

because the executive branch really has a direct relationship with the economy...
and it's the "feel-good liberals" who are into the political correctness, not the conservative president.
it really hasn't been 8 years of hell for people. you're alive, i'm alive, so what's the big deal?

It's like screaming at a puppy for ****ting on the carpet. The only thing you can blame Bush for is being a terrible figurehead. Cheney should be hanged because he actually knew what he was doing.

Real question is when was the last time an American President left office and the people were sad he was gone....I asked my Dad and he said Ronald Reagan...

He had his ups as well as his downs. Certainly not the nation's best president but not the worst either. I would say disappointing not necessarily for his actions but the events that occured that needed to be dealt with.

Lies. You know, unless you think spying on citizens, torture, refusing to even try to combat pollution, thinking giving people money is "socialism" but giving corporations money is a "bailout", lying to go to war without quite lying but following the suggestions of his PR team to make a nonexistent case, being responsible for a huge chunk of our now ten-Trillion-with-a-T-dollar debt thanks to his multiple-hundred-Billion-with-a-B-dollar budget deficits, trying to declare birth control to be abortion in the eyes of the federal agencies while simultaneously saying Viagra should be covered by health insurance, and commuting Scooter Libby's sentence are all "average".

Which was perpetrated by an American. Hence the domestic part.

I voted bad, btw. Only because, theoretically, it could have been worse.
