LMMS for Linux and Windows, this is a great alternative to Fruity Loops and simmilar programs and supports a lot more things, highly recommended.

I've used that, its not very awesome to be brutally honest.



No audio recording? thats not a DAW.

It's a sequencer, it meant to be a free replacment for stuff like FL, it's a DAW the same way Reason is a DAW. It's actually pretty great considering the price point.

I guess i'm being too harsh.
Back when i had the linux machine set up for studio stuff i tried every daw under the sun and got very tired of the dodgy feature-sets of most of them. I was well impressed with Ardour, but that wont have MIDI support for a long while.

True, Reason doesnt record audio, but then again Reason is awesome as it stands.



Anyway, cant argue with free can ya?
