basically, i'm playing the song canon rock to a large audience in a few weeks, and my guitar tone isn't good enough

the chords and things sound good, but when i sweep the notes all just blur into one rather than sounding like a series of individual notes.

any help on amp settings or anything like that to rememdy my problem
playing my NJ series warlock through a fender frontman
In a soundcheck there's never too much guitar. Just not enough of all the other instruments.

When notes blur it may be a technique problem. Sorry to ask but are you sure you are sweeping properly?

You would need to go back to the basics, man. Start slow and make sure you hear all the notes seperately and gradually work your way up (while stille maintaining note clarity)

You need to be able to mute your strings properly roo so that one note will ring at at time.

So you have a few weeks to learn how to sweep. Good luck.

Seriously, learn to sweep properly.

If you're note using your left hand to effectively to mute unwanted notes and your hands aren't perfectly synchronised then to be blunt you're not actually sweeping, you're just strumming.
