Ok, im currently saving for a new guitar, will have about £500 ($750ish) maybe just over to spend

I play mostly metal (As I lay Dying, KsE, Metallica) but also more progressive / experimental stuff (Dream theater, Between the Buried and Me, Opeth)

24 frets preferably, not worried about having a tremelo or not

Been looking at;
Epiphone Les Paul Prophecy EX

Ibanez MBM-2

Jackson DKMG

However, any other suggestions would be apprieciated

DO NOT get the Epiphone if you want to use higher frets. It plays nice, but the neck joint is wayy too thick to be played comfortably on frets higher than 17 or so.

The DKMGT is a great choice, Jackson necks are really comfortable.

Might I also suggest a Schecter Hellraiser? They sound nice, play nice, and look nice. Really great guitars.

the schecter hellraisers are just a little over budget, although i'll take them into consideration

Thanks for pointing out the flaws in the Epiphone though jetfuel495, i hadnt thought about that.

looks like the DKMGT at the moment then

and to emag remrofni, BC Rich Warlock bronze = bro0tal. hahaha

Ive seen a few hellraisers go for around the £300 mark, thats only if your ok with buting from ebay, if not then go for the DKMGT
