I've been a fan of Blackstar for a while
But most of their gear is really expensive (1000+ range)

Until this came up

That's f*cking unbelievable.

Prices are
Blackstar HT-5 Head- $300
Blackstar HT-5 Combo 1X10- $400
Blackstar HT-5 Head+1X10 Cab- $400

So what do you guys say?
All I gotta say is.. Screw the Tiny Terror, I'm getting this

I played the HT-5 stack at a music store few days ago.. I was pretty disappointed tbh.
It has a nice clean and good rock crunch but it was total crap in metal territory.
Get it if you play rock but get a overdrive to push it.

I freaking LOVE my HT-5, its an incredible amp and you definitely don't need a OD, I don't think I've stepped on my OD pedal since I bought it this beauty.

I can't believe you couldn't get a good metal sound. You must have been doing something wrong because I've heard some great metal tones played with this amp.

Nope, i even got the sales man to EQ for it and he does demo's for it on youtube somewhere. Must of been tubes cause i think it was there for ages and i could honestly not get a heavy metal tone.

i tried this amp too the other day couldn't get a metal tone out of it like id heard in them videos on youtube. Most of them use an overdrive to get a metal sound. was impressed with the clean tone but think im gonna stick with my tiny terror
