well graduation is coming soon and im thinking of getting a custom stratocaster as a graduation present. Does anyone know how much it would cost to have Fender build a custom stratocaster to your exact specifications? I dont even want that much on it.

Black Alder Body (String-Through)
Ebony Fretboard on a Maple 70's Neck
Black Hardware (tuning pegs, strap buttons, screws, bridge, knobs)
Hardtail Bridge (Black)
1 Volume knob (Black, Round Top)
Purple Pearloid Pickguard
Black Seymour Duncan SH-8 Invader Humbucker (Bridge Position)

I believe thats it. any idea how much it would cost? and please dont bash me :[

you could make that yourself just hotrodding an existing black strat for cheaper. custom shop for fender is very expensive.
also your amp is terrible and you have decent guitars already, get your priorities straight.

I'm not sure Fender would build a guitar for you, and if they did the price would be very high, why not turn to Warmoth? Not to expensive and probably as good quality as you can find at Fenders Customshop.

*edit: Warmoth has Fender license and can build a guitar very close to a real Fender, the only thing is that it won't have "Fender" on the headstock, if you don't put that there yourself in some way.
"Your signature can not be longer than 250 characters."

How you know you have too many guitars...

Apparently once also known as PonyFan #834553.

I doubt they'd do it - they have plenty of business from important people, they can pick and choose their customers.

Besides, you already have nice guitars, you need to buy a proper amp.

their custom shop will build for everyone i thought? but your probably looking at like $4000 or something, and they'll give you some utter crap about it being handcrafted by a master luithier - just go to a normal luthier - ormsby would make you one for cheaper than that and anyone who says he isn't as good as a fender master builder is just talking daft in my eyes.

o - but plus 1 to a better amp first.

I'm not so sure - after all there's a certain kudos attached to a one-of-a-kind Fender instrument, if they made them for anyone then that mystique would be diminished.

I could be wrong, but if I was running a company the size of Fender I wouldn't accept orders from allsorts, I'd just take them from well-known people in order to increase the value of the brand.
