When i start to pick faster, i get an annoying noise thats kind of like a pick scrape, but is even there when i make 100% sure that its not scraping at all, its probably still there when slow, just not noticable. Is this a problem with technique?

It's called pick attack.
Then there's this band called Slice The Cake...

Bunch of faggots putting random riffs together and calling it "progressive" deathcore.
Stupid name.
Probably picked "for teh lulz"

I'm using quite alot of gain, but not loads. I'll try turning it down a tad.

And thanks for the name Shinozoku, ill try googling it to find more info.

It could depend on the way you angle your pick when playing. If the side of the pick hits instead of the tip, you'll get a pick scrape-ish noise.
