I love really high energy songs, some of my favorites include:

WildSide- Motley Crue
Overkill- Motorhead
Seventeen- Winger
Night Train- Gun's N' Roses

can anyone else recommend some good songs like these ones?

I'm really just looking for songs that are hard not to headbang along with when they come on.

Why would you want a guitar that similtanously scratchs your arse, picks your nose and kills the guy next to you?

Seriously, the whole genree is about build tension in the listeners mind. You could never feel like this during listening to rock music. However if the time is not right this music is mostly useless.

Funeral Doom's got so much energy in it that it's actually the secret ingredient of Red Bull.

But really, Blinded by Fear- At The Gates is pretty energetic if you swing that way.

High energy does not mean high tempo. Energy is the thickness in the song, that raw power and "in your face" attitude it delivers. Which that electronic music lacks.

Partially i understand what you say. However those songs haven't got higher tempo than a regular rock song, and compared to specific metal genres the drums are slower.

Maybe i misunderstand the topic, but i list songs which could build high energy in the listener.

Recovering the Opposable Thumb by the Lawrence Arms, it's a decently fast song and it builds up until the end...and then climaxes. *drools*
