if there is (on a tab) a small - after a number then what does it mean?


I am using guitar pro (5) but cant work it out

Do you mean like Cm7/5-, or something like this?

It's means diminished 5th (5th interval lowered 1 semitone/halfstep)

Example;

Cm7 has the notes; C, D#, G, A#

if there's written Cm7- or Cm7/5-, the 5th which is the G note in this case become an F#.

So the notes are; C, D#, F#, A#
