Hi there, need some help on deciding on buying a Marshall MS-2 or MS-4.
I like to play with a very high volume and play Guns N Roses stuff, so help please.

Neither of those is loud, but the Ms-4 will be louder

I've got the ms4, it's great to play when on holiday or at school, but I wish I had bought the ms2, cuz it's still pretty big for what it does (the ms4)

I actually got one myself for Christmas.
Personally, I think that the gain sounds very digital and weak, but that's what I expected. I only got it to use almost as like a travel amp to take on vacation or to school or something.
But IMO the clean channel sounds good, and you can hook pedals up to it like you would any other amp.

They are both capable of the same volume. They are both the same wattage. More speakers does not mean more volume.
I have the MS-4 and it sounds pretty good with a decent distortion pedal in front of it. It's good to plug into while having a few beers with a friend. Not much else.

Head and Cab for $130? You don't need a head and cabinet, you need a psychological examination.

i was wondering about getting a MS-4 myself but whats the gain like, i don`t care if it`s digital, i just want something with good gain that i can carry around. and using a distortion pedal kinda defeats the purpose of portable.

Although my V does have a gain booster built in it, but thats for a tube amp, will it still work the same with a little MS-4?

Pignose maybe?
I like analogue Solid State amps that make no effort to be "tube-like", and I'm proud of it...

...A little too proud, to be honest.

It's not like the MS-4 is louder, still. Wattage doesn't equate to volume.

Get a real practice amp, like a Roland Microcube. It has a shoulder strap, so then walk around all you want.

nah, i want a little one, they look awsome.

You want something loud, but you're buying a mini-amp? Isn't that contradictory?
my MG15DFX has a button that simulates the sound of one of the expensive tube marshall amps

I'm sorry but my MS-2 package and 8540 Google pages say 2 watt.

Marshall's website must be ****ed.
The English one says 1 watt the German one 2.

By the way, they both sound like ****.
