Hi UGers, I think that it's time for me to get a new acoustic guitar. I own an Ibanez AES10E Acoustic-Electric right now. When I first bought it, I thought that the sound was perfect, until now, I think that the sound is very weak and dull.

So I'm planning on upgrading to a new acoustic-electric. My uncle said that he used to play Takamine's a lot and they have very good quality.

So I came upon these two choices.

EG523C

EG460SC

So which one is better? I am leaning towards the EG460SC mainly because it seems cheaper . To me, $50 is a lot of money, but in my opinion, $50 shouldn't really have a huge difference in tone.

So which one UG? thanks

Yes but look at the difference in the woods they are made of. Thats a HUGE difference from rosewood to maple. Maple i imagine is alot brighter sounding.
Also look into BlueRidge guitars, they are my favorite acoustics and i chose a 700-800 dollar model over my friends takamine. I also suggest trying them out near you, you might come out with a winner at a much cheaper cost, ask the store clerks and such.

In my opinion This blueridge sounds much better than This Takamine

play both guitars and see which one you like better.. acoustics are EXTREMELY subjective as there is not anything obvious that separates a 1000 dollar acoustic from a 200 dollar one. play both, then pick
