I was wondering if someone could tell me what the best mixing software is for what i wanna do. What i want to do is basically mend music together, crispin up some parts of the instrumentals, add in effects such as reverb or delay and heighten and lower some parts of he song. Will Audacity do this or do i need a more advanced software?

Thanks

Adobe Audition is great, I've used it for a long time for my home recording.

It might take a couple of days to get used to it, but once you have - It's great.
It's also not hard to find a good torrent of it... *Shifty eyes*
I deeply regret the 6661 in my username. Siiiigh. Damn you, 14 year old me, you edgy little bastard.

Yeah, it was a wide range of effects and editing tools.
It should cover all your needs nicely.
