Whenever I turn my 65 watt Crate GX65 solid state amp on, it makes a very loud popping sound for about a minute or two. It's random. It'll do it continuously then take a few seconds break, etc. Sometimes the DSP doesn't work at the same time.

Besides this, I've noticed no other issues. Could someone please help?

I had a Crate GTD65 combo, and it did the same thing.

when you turn it on, you get a real loud popping and crackling noise that won't go away until you turn the amp on and off a few times?

well, thats at least what happened to mine.

edit: i pulled it apart just to check around, and nothing seemed burned or loose or dirty, so i put it back together and, no difference. I even changed the fuses out. nothing.

Oh well, since then i got a Peavey XXX combo, MUCH BETTER
Peavey XXX combo *upgraded screen resistors, Tung-Sol's, and 6L6's*
Schecter Syn Std. * modded, scalloped, and worn*
Schecter C-1 Elite *still sexy*
Ibanez AEL 12-string
