drop d - lower your low e string 2 tones down into a d note...
and 1 1/2 steps down you do the same thing as drop d, and then you lower all your strings down a semitone

In simple terms, your lowest string needs to be tuned so that when the 7th fret is played, it matches the tone of your a string.

Drop D is the low E dropped a single tone or 2 semitones
1 1/2 steps down is C#F#BEG#C# so all strings down 3 semitones

To go to Drop D, make the 7th fret of the E string sound like an open A string

I need a tuner to get 1 1/2 steps down. Just get a tuner, and put everything down 3 steps
