ok, in my local craigslist is a MIM telecaster that has has a volume pot replaced and a humbucker installed in the neck. He is looking for a trade for a LP. I'm thinking of trading my Epiphone LP for it. Do you thing its a a good deal? I play alot of everything so im looking for all around usefulness. Thanks in advance.

do you want sharp twangy Tele tone and creamy neck tone? If so, go for it. If not, don't bother IMO.

You CAN play anything with anything....but some guitars sound right for some things, and not for others. Single coils sound retarded for metal, though those who are apeshit about harpsichord probably beg to differ.
