So, I've got these "Gibson Deluxe" tuners, designed after the vintage tuners that Gibson guitars had back in the way.

How do I remove them? I've already taken the screws in the back out, but they won't come out.

Alright, thanks. That's what I guessed, but I wanted to make sure.

I've broken several things 'guessing' before... <_<

Another question...

On the Gibson Flying V Faded, the headstock has some sort of black wood or paint on top of the mahogany... Can anybody tell me what material this is? I'm doing a relic job (pictures later- I'm actually doing it tastefully), and I'm having trouble with sanding the headstock down smoothly.

My Gibson Flying V is a Faded series and I believe it's just paint. The tuning keys in the pic above are the ones that came on it. I just put some chrome ones on it a couple days ago. I've got a weird question for you. Did yours have 6 Gibson tuners on it? Mine had 5 Gibson and 1 Grover (see pic above). I thought that was odd but they look almost identical.
