wats a good amp for neoclassical shred(im very picky in picking amps)?

budget? also, keep in mind that the MXR isnt going to be as good as a good amp's distortion

i want a joe satriani tone but i only have 500 dollars and ill spend at the most 1000 prolly yea i know but the mxr does have very authentic tone and i dont have the money to shell out for a tone bone classic distortion
