Someone told me that I shouldn't wear the same band's shirt to their concert. I'm seeing Metallica and he told me I shouldn't wear a Metallica shirt to the concert. I've been to five concerts and never seen/heard of this.

So what do u guys do?

It's like saying,
"Hey, I may have downloaded 40+ of your songs via limewire, but i still bought your shirt."
Rojam's new and improved band!!!!

Listen a little bit, we DON'T suck!

The dumbest thing I've ever heard
Guitars:
-Gibson Les Paul Custom Shop Silverburst (Invader/'59)
-Ovation ApplauseAE44II Elite Black Acoustic

Amps/Cabs
-Peavey 6505+ Head
Orange PPC2x12 Cab Black
-Behringer Ultracoustic ACX450 1x8 Acoustic Combo

Wayyyyy too many effects pedals...

I've never heard anything like that. But you never know what crazy crap those metal elitists (for the record, I love metal) will cook up next. So wear a Testament shirt or something, just to be safe.

James might hi-five you for wearing a Testament shirt.

why not? The only reason i could think of is that it might make you look like a fanboy.

That's ridiculous.
It shows your support for the band. If you bought it from the band, they made more from it versus buying one of their cds.
Besides, no one is going to gang up on you at a metallica concert, much less for wearing the band's shirt.
#11
I'd punch ur bud in the face and tell him its bull****. Why wouldn't you wear the bands shirt to their concert, if you're a damn fan?!

Would you wear another band's shirt to a different band's concert? lol.
#14
When I was at Metallica I was wearing a Ride The Lightning shirt. Although I changed when I bought a shirt.

It seems reasonable to wear a band shirt to see the band.

Just call me Julius, J, etc.
Taking an Internet break for a while, will come on when I can.

Why the hell wouldn't you, show your support!
The real debate is going to a concert and wearing a different bands t-shirt, e.g. wearing a foo fighters shirt to a muse concert,
whats the opinion on that?
#25
I'd wear a Misfits shirt, only because I don't have a Metallica shirt.

Yeah, because buying tickets to the show and showing up does not show your support.

I say don't wear any band shirt to a show. Obviously your a music fan if your there and everyone can guess to some extent what kind of music you like. Why wear any band shirt?

Dude, really? It's awesome.

It was released in '79 when Scott Ian was drumming for the band after Lars died.

Never wear that band's shirt to their concert! It's bad luck!

It's not as bad as a band member wearing his own band's t-shirt.

True, but still. In my opinion, wearing a band T shows your support, and it shows that u'd prolly wear it somewhere else, which is half-assedly advertising lol.
#35
i think you are onto something, because, how come band members never wear their own shirts? EX: ATR's air that i breathe, they are wearing different shirts like arch enemy and ****...

It makes you look like a fanboy. Would you wear a Paul Blart: Mall Cop t-shirt when you go and yes, you will go, see the new Paul Blart: Mall Cop movie?

As far as I know, it's not cool to wear the band's T shirt, but if you wear one of band of a very similar genre, you are cool.
#38
It's not the shirt, it's the shirt-ee....er, the person wearing the shirt.

Sure it's reasonable. But it's tacky and unfashionable.

So yes, wear the bands shirt.
Quote by Say Ocean
Wow seriously? Wearing the band's tee to their own show just screams "trying wayyyy too hard"

Trying too hard for what? That doesn't make any sense.

Wear whatever the fuck you want.
