I've been thinking about getting one of those Allen key holders that attach on the back of the headstock, I was just wondering though, how do you fix them on cause I don't really think I'd be happy with screwing one on.

I have no idea what you mean, nor why you would want to do that? Allen keys are small, they'll fit easily into your case or even your pocket.

Put a nail in the back and get a keyring?

Go to any hardware store and pickup a set. Stick 'em in the back of your amp or your guitar case or something.

i see lots of guys who put a strap of Velcro on the back of their headstock, like the straps you would use to tie up cables. i'd say this would be the cheapest way that would hold better than 2x sided tape.
