PRE ORDER YOURS (click this link) NAO!!

Five select 12AX7 preamp tubes and a pair of 6L6GC power-amp tubes provide the tonal foundation for the 6505 Plus 112 combo, while patented circuitry such as Peavey’s Resonance control tweak its legendary tone. Both the Lead and Rhythm channels feature independent three-band EQ, pre/post gain controls and Presence and Resonance adjustment. The Rhythm channel also includes a footswitchable Crunch boost.
The 6505 Plus 112 combo also features the Peavey MSDI™ microphone-simulated direct interface, which eliminates the need for miking by allowing users to route the amp’s signal directly to a recording device or mixing console. Additional features include three-spring reverb, effects loop and external speaker outputs, plus a 12” Sheffield® loudspeaker in a sealed-back cabinet that offers maximum resonance and sound projection.

* 60 watts RMS
* 16, 8 or 4 ohms
* Five 12AX7 preamp tubes and two 6L6GC power amp tubes
* Footswitchable Lead/Rhythm channel select
* Effects loop
* Separate three-band EQ on each channel
* Separate Resonance and Presence controls on each channel
* Separate pre/post gain on each channel
* Footswitchable Crunch boost on Rhythm channel
* Three-spring reverb
* MSDI™ microphone-simulated XLR direct output
* 12” Sheffield® loudspeaker
* External speaker outputs
* Lighted Peavey logo with on/off switch
* U.S. MSRP $719.99 might be lower in some online stores, probably $500 or so.
Hits Peavey retailers in Q2 2009.(its in 10-30-09 )

For around $500 new and $300-400 used, it will make a good practice amp.

it could also do a pretty huge-ass gig. im really looking forward to the amp, i got pissed off at peavey because the XXX was their only high gain 1x12 combo, and it got discontinued. but now there finally making a 6505+ 112. it'll probably become the new "$500 amp for metal* amp

I'd rather have a 2x12.

it would have a better sound, but i'd rather be able to lift my amp, plus the 1x12 has the direct out, which is great cuz after buying an amp im not in the mood to spend another 100 bucks on a mic

There's already a 2x12 of the 6505. £800 brand new.

This 1x12 seems ideal - cheap and "small".
If a time comes for me to get an amp with more gain, I know where to go.

No, but only because I have the head.
If I was looking at relatively low-priced metal valve combos, this would probably be my choice - with a speaker change of course. Why do they insist on using Sheffields

+1, I guess it's good though, keeps the cost down a bit.

I'm going to swap it out for my EVM-12L anyway

No because Peavey inserted its large corporate penis into my tight spichter and proceded to bang away. Then later like a guy after that poosay puts out, he promises to bring her flowers and diamonds, then never calls with the goods.

is this little guy going to be a 60 watter as well? it looks like a brilliant even more compact way to go.

maybe this new product will drive used prices down on the 2x12 6505 if people decide to gas out and downsize

This is also gonna be a good alternative to spending $1200 on the head version. For the extra $600 bucks you can get a nice 2x12 or 4x12 cab for it as well...
