I want to buy a new guitar my price cap will be £500. Right now im looking at Jacksons.
I want to know if they are good. currently im looking at: the Jackson RR3.
Does anyone own a good metal guitar in this cap?
cheers dudes.

What kind of metal do you play? Also, what's your current rig look like?

Well, if you play sitting down a lot, i wouldnt suggest any guitars of that particular shape.

Look at some esp ltd's in that range. Maybe an ec-500 or possibly one of those explorer looking guitars they sell.

At the moment i have a bc rich Beast, and im playing through a marshall.
Ive been looking at the RR3 on youtube and it seems like it plays really well. im probabily going to try it out first though.

EDIT: forgot to mention this, i mainly play, old metal like: Maiden, Judas Priest, Megadeth and Ozzy.

I'm selling a practically new RR3 for 450 usd...

I don't like it cuz the shape, but it sounds great. Deffinetly if you play sitting down, avoid a v shaped guitar. It is a pain to adjust to it and the compensation sucks.

DK2 and DK2M are good versatile guitars within your price range...
my personal favourites are Kellys, but the pro-series ones don't have a tone control...
your call on those...

Schecters are good for metal...
Ibanez, and LTD, too...

ibanez rg1570?

really depends what you want... is it a lead or rhythm guitar? do you need a locking trem? etc.

I'll have to put the Classic T models on my to-try list. Shame the finish options there are Anachronism Gold, Nuclear Waste and Aged Clown, because in principle the plaintop is right up my alley.

Presumably because the CCF (Combined Corksniffing Forces) of MLP and Gibson forums would rise up against them, plunging the land into war.

necks are a matter of oppinion. as well as knob placement.

id suggest ibanez or ESP LTD's.

or

going to want to change the pickups on the ibanez though. not sure about the ESP.

Bet he has an MG?

buy a new amp -.-

new guitar won't have as much effect on your tone as a new amp. An amp IS your tone.
