As the title says I've started to look for a new guitar in the price range of 1000 €, that's about 1000 $ (not sure about how much it is in £. I will not buy the guitar though before the end of the summer propably because that's when I've planned to earn some money, but I want to do some research try some guitars alredy.

I'm looking for versatility, but I mainly play rock and metal, I don't play the extreme kinds of metal, Thrash Metal is as far as I go, but I'm currently listening to alot of Paul Gilbert, Joe satriani, Steve Vai, Buckethead, pretty much all the guitar virtuoses. I'm also playing quite alot of "clean" music.

I've alredy did a little research and I've found a quite few guitar models that I like I've posted some links here below, As you can see in my profile I've got an Epiphone Les Paul Standard as my current guitar, I'd like something with a little better fret accsessibility, so a strat-style guitar would propably be good for me I guess.

The models I've been thinking about are these:

An Ltd Mh-1000 propably the one without Emg's though.

Same goes for this one.

I've heard alot of good about Schecters and I really like the new green C-1 Classic

This one looks pretty cool too.

And besides that I've looked at a few Ibanezes and and a few Jacksons but I'm not really sure about which one I'd want.

So here's the guitars I've been thinking about, feel free to recommend me more guitars, my local music store sells Ibanezes and Ltd's so I can easily try them out and I've also tried out Jackson guitars. I liked the neck of the Ltd and the Jackson but I'm not really sure about the flat neck of the Ibanez, it feels a bit weird in my hands but I should try them out again. As for Schecter the nearest store which sells Schecter guitars is abut 150 Kilometres away from here, but I should propably travel there sometime and try them out.

I don't want to disappoint you, but i don't think in Finland your going to find many of those guitars, or they will be a high prices.

But all the guitars you listed are of great quality and sound beautiful aswell. But i think i would stay away from EMG's, just because of your amp

I love the C-1 classic, but just to let u no, 1000 euros DOES NOT equal 1000$, i think its much more than that, maybe a couple hundred more.

Actually I can find most of these guitars for less than 1000 € .

The Mh-1000.

The C-1 Classic.

And they sell Ibanez's in my town for reasonable prices, they don't really have any prestige models, but I'm sure they can order one if I'd like one. I also think they sell Jacksons in a city 40 kilometres from here.

Finnish guitar prices are pretty much the same as the american guitar prices in Dollars. I know Euros are worth more than dollars though.

I've got a question too, Are any of the Schecters, Jacksons in the price range I mentioned handmade and are the Ibanez Prestiges handmade? I alredy know Ltd's are made in Korea.

John Petrucci Ernie Ball Musicman

Best guitar you will ever play. Look for a used version when you're buying if you can, they're a lot cheaper than new and work the same.

I've heard about Ernie Ball guitars, and the guitar players who used them, that's a good option too, I'll keep that guitar in mind.

True, but you know: the funny thing is that most prices of most guitars in Europe are the same as in the USA, but with a "€"-sign in front of it. So for guitars: €1000 = $1000
