Hey guys.
I've always wanted a telecaster but i also play stuff like the old metallica and megadeth (thrash Metal). I've came across the emg 81 and emg 60 which both are used in metallica but my only concern is im wondering if they fit into a telecaster? If they don't or you have any better suggestions for metal pickups for a telecaster, please tell me. thx

Get the Jim Root signature telecaster if you're gonna be playing metal.

otherwise, don't bother with any other telecasters for metal.

I tried it out in store.

Great neck, nice n light, good tuning stability. Overall a good guitar. I didn't but it cause I generally only buy guitars over a grand now.

Just get a Seymour Duncan Hot Rail in the bridge. That's what I put in my Tele for high gain playing.

+1 to the Jim Root Telecaster, I don't play metal but I tried that one out and it sounded very nice and it played like a dream.

1. Don't post a thread twice in different forums.
2. Don't buy anything with EMG's or any actives unless you have a tube amp you can crank both the preamp and power amp on.
2. +1 to the Hot Rails suggestion.
