I deleted my last topic so i could make one with a poll.

I have about $600 AUS.

I am either going to get:

1) Peavey Vypyr 75 (Around $600-700, it isn't in the catalogue or the website so I'm not sure on the exact price.

2) Peavey Vypyr 15 ($300) and EMG 81/85 Zakk Wylde Set ($350 with installation)

3) Peavey Vypyr 30 ($400) and EMG Select SEHB/SEHG Passive ($150 with installation)

Which one should I get? I am only a beginner player, I play mainly metal but I play almost anything apart from blues.

I don't gig!

If you're just a beginner and don't gig you don't need a 75 watt amp. Not sure how active pickups would sound through a SS modelling amp. So option 3?

I may also be able to get the 30w vypyr with the active EMGs. Should I get that if I can?

I wouldnt bother wasting your money on pickups, trust me, if ur a beginner and you're getting a vypyr then thats all you need, put the savings into a fund for the killer amp you'll wanna buy sooner or later.

Leave your pickups as they are.

Go pickup a blackstar HT-5 mini stack and a ibanez tubescreamer.

Plays so many genres you'll love it

I've never played through the 75, but the 15 and 30 aren't that great. If your seriously considering $600 to $700 you have alot of other options in that range.
