I had an idea. A lot of people are on this site, asking 'what should I learn now?'.

How about we tell them...

Anyone who wants to participate can.

Rules:
1)Assign the person above you a song to learn based on their listed songs/artists.
2)State some songs you can play or artists to give us an idea of where your skill level is.
3)State a preferred tuning so we don't pick something that you guys/girls with floyd roses aren't set up for.
4)Learn the song chosen by the poster following you - Regardless of whether or not you like the band/song!

I think this can be a great way to get some people to learn songs they normally wouldn't attempt. It will broaden your musical tastes!

Hopefully this turns out to be fun for everybody involved!

Don't post unless you are adhering to the rules please!

So, I'll go first:

1)First post!
2)Metallica - Master of Puppets, Megadeth - Family Tree, Iced Earth - Slave to the dark
3)Standard tuning

Just had a thought about a revision to this thread....would it be better suited if you laid out like 3 songs that you were considering learning and then the next person picked it....

I get the point of the thread but then thought after i decided someone elses song and someone decided mine.....you could really pick something that ppl don't enjoy

thoughts?
