I was planning on setting up my bass's action a little lower and making sure the intonation is okay. Now, is it recommended to work on the neck relief before doing anything with the action? I didn't really want to mess with the truss rod or anything, just my action and intonation. Will not making sure the neck is okay, interfere in anyway with what I want to do?

Well adjust your neck if its warped, but otherwise dont touch the trussrod.

Adjusting the truss rod will not cure a warped neck, the truss rod is for making foreward or backward adjustment to the neck.

A warped neck is twisted!
