what are the different models for marshalls good for?

of course the marshall website says ALL of their amps are good.

can anybody help section off different models for me?

so far i know:

JVM series: good, solid, reliable top of the line amps. dunno what they specialize for

MG/MB Series: beginner model amps. kinda sh*tty.

Vintage/modern Series: classic-oriented amp, more versitile then vintage series. modern amps w/ vintage sound

Vintage series: replicas of old marshalls. for the classic rock player.

im still confused about the Mode 4, DSL, TSL, AVT, VBA and JCM series.

fill me in/correct me please. much appreiciated

^That's a great chart.

Wouldn't say I agree with the grid above as I have a JCM800 reissue and an AVT150 and they both are great for classic rock, hard rock, alternative, punk, metal, etc.

JVM's blow, man. The only difference between MG's and JVM's(from Marshall's point of view) is that one is made to rip off dumb beginners of their money, and one is to rip off dumb rich people of their money.

JCM800's are the best overall amp Marshall makes, period.
