Hi, I've seen a fair amount of topics about acoustic-electrics through normal amps, and have seen bunches of different answers and it seems like exactly what amp matters (I also dont know much about acoustic-electrics, so please bare with me). So, my question is will an acoustic-electric work and sound good through a Fender Princeton Chorus amp? It is solidstate. And if it will work, does the type of acoustic-electric matter? Or will an acoustic-electric I plug in sound as good as it's supposed to? Thanks very much for any help.

It'll work.

As for the type... I'm not sure what you mean, but any acoustic-electric will work through any amp... Even a bass amp, although I don't suggest doing so(I messed up my practice bass amp that way).
Equipment:
- Art & Lutherie Cedar CW (SOLD! )
- Martin D-16RGT w/ LR Baggs M1 Active Soundhole Pickup
- Seagull 25th Anniversary Flame Maple w/ LR Baggs Micro EQ

I have the exact set up you are talking about and I must say it doesn't work.

My acoustics are nice guitars - an Ovation Elite and a John Lennon Epiphone - and my Fender Princeton Chorus Amp is PHENOMENAL....but the two don't mix. The sound is just soooo wrong. No matter what you do with the settings on the amp the acoustic guitars will sound like garbage. The Princeton is an amazing amp, just not for acoustic/electrics.

When I want to amplify my acoutic/electrics I play them through my VOX AC30 (it sounds exactly like Beatle acoustics) or a CRATE CA30 which is an amp made for acoustic/electrics.

Thank you very much, exactly what I needed to know. .
