Well, I went back to my scale book and found some fun ones that I loved to play way back when.

I love Cmajor (Ionian) type 1. So much fun to play. (I don't know why... lol).

Your favorite scales?

hmm i like f major phyrgian position... must be because there are no finger stretches and i can shred it fast.

2nd inversion of the D harmonic minor scale. I'm not sure exactly what it's called but it's a spanish phrygian or something like that. It has some great scale runs and a nice mellow overall feel.

I gotta go with Pentatonic, it is the end all and be all scale for heavy metal.
#6
Pentatonic minor, it's in pretty much everything.
Also harmonic minor because it's kickass and gypsy sounding.

A Harmonic Minor and its fifth mode E Phrygian Dominant(the Jew scale lol). In combination they give you a pretty cool "I'm gonna crush you with my scales" Yngwie mentality that I find hilarious yet ridiculously badass at the same time.

I think you mean mode. The second mode is F Harmonic Major, G Spanish Phrygian is the 3rd mode. Sorry for the correction but I took a theory class and my OCD makes me want to correct everything. I typically just call them by there numbers though since there's no standard names to avoid the confusion. I used to call them by names all the time and everyone just wound up confused since we all called them different things.

The diminished scale.

It sounds arabian, or something...
I'm gonna suffer for the rest of my life

But I will always find a way to survive

anything harmonic minor sounds so melodically sexy, oh, and minor pentatonic, I can almost probably call myself in the intermediate level using that scale lol

i used to be quite partial to the phrygian dominant mode of the harmonic minor scale

but nowadays i tend to use the dimished scale mode of the natural minor or the the phrygian mode

but saying that i usually cant just stay in the one place, i like to move about the fretboard.
