If there is anything you can tell me about this, that would be great. I messaged the guy about the serial number already, im just waiting. This is the closest looking thing to it.

The only thing that is different is the bridge.

Looks VERY legitimate. I'd give him at least the asking price, if not a little more. I sincerely doubt anyone would put that much effort into a fake.

I'd drive to play it and make sure it's in working order (if not, you'll have to weigh the cost of the damage against the value, but it seems solid in the pictures) and buy it if it's still for sale.
Sincerely, Chad.

Don't think it's a Gibson.

But I still think it's a 12 string for 75 bucks.

From the pickguard, to the outline of the truss rod cover, to the faded logo, to the period-correct tuners and wear? I dunno, that sounds fairly legit to me. Methinks there must be some serious warping, or he just doesn't know what he has (you'd be surprised how often this happens).
Sincerely, Chad.

Lucky for me, he posted it a few hours ago. Ill give him a call tomorrow. The bridge is still throwing me off... i cant find one with that bridge.

To me, it looks like a B-25-12-N (12 for 12-string and N for natural finish) without a tailpiece, which puts it between 1964 and 1977.

Here's a picture of one:

Edit: if you get it, make sure you string it with the lightest acoustic strings you can find. Vintage 12 strings have a habit of busting bridges.

Edit2: Oh, and for the record, this baby is for sale for $1295 with its original case, thanks to the good folks at Guitarworks.com.
Sincerely, Chad.

Idk. When it even says Gibson on the headstock that's kinda a tipoff. . . so the fact that he's STILL only charging 75 is kinda weird. I agree, it LOOKS right, but something doesn't add up.

Nobody is going to pull a fake job for 75$.. so... it's either junked and barely playable anymore... or it is the best damn deal on the net and you should be able to fip it an make some good coin.

That is a Gibson.

You should buy that RIGHT NOW, or I will. I'm serious.

I don't want or need this guitar, but it's worth more than that regardless of what shape it is in. I don't care if it has no back. I could pay to have it repaired and still sell it for more than the cost of repair + $75.
