Here it is, a thread dedicated to that special someone, song style.

What are the songs that amazed you from the start and restored your faith in humanity and music as a whole? Songs that shaped your guitar playing, songwriting, and life in general. Songs you've known for years and still haven't gotten tired of.

It used to be "Hummer" by the Smashing Pumpkins.
The closing just drove me insane with creative energy and good vibes.

Right now its "Lesson #1" by Glenn Branca.

Can't get enough of that song. It's just so powerful. Sounds gay as hell, but it almost makes me feel hopeful.

For me it was New Skin by Incubus. The first time I heard that song was a revelation, it really busted music wide open for me. I still listen to S.C.I.E.N.C.E nearly every day.

I'm loving your choice of Hummer, marvelous song

Aesthetics of Hate - Machine Head

It brought me away from Nu Metal and Hard Rock, and into Thrash metal.
What is this that stands before me?

Smashing Pumpkins - By Starlight made me realise to stop being a stereotypical bastard teenager and quit whinging, and it also helped my songwriting.

I guess it has to be Spirit Crusher by Death. I listen to it everyday. Infact, The Sound Of Perseverance is the album that I find myself listening to nearly everyday.
