I'm looking for some new music to learn on the old guitar.

I'm looking for sometihng that is (or at least can be) played on an acoustic guitar. I'd prefer something that is chord based, but picking is ok with me too. Preferably something that's difficult, and it doesn't matter the genre.

Can UG help me out? thanks in advance

So my question is. Can Pre-Cum fluid pass through my underwear, my jeans, onto and through her jeans, through her underwear, and impregnate her?

Doing this will NAIL your articulation and force you to pick out every flaw in your playing - I highly recommend it. Playing thrash and metal on acoustic is the best thing that ever happened (and it still happening) to my fret hand technique.

If you're looking for recent acoustic based stuff, though, Tantric is always fun to play. Check out "Breakdown" and "Astounded."
Do you feel warm within your cage?

And have you figured out yet -

^It's not overly difficult & sounds awsome just on Accoustic! Only thing is you need a capo but if you play alot of accoustic then you'd have to have one!

Dude I got these strings the other day that couldn't be tuned to higher than 4 octaves below middle C then I realized that they were shoelaces and they weren't making any sound at all.

Try Travis Picking:

http://hk.youtube.com/watch?v=N8vOTKMqzw4

It's very difficult to master and there are very few artists who can Travis Pick. Here's another reason why music is failing: lack of ability in the present day to do something original as well as lack of respect to the real legends of guitar. Travis Picking is usually played on acoustic but Merle played it on a Semi.

If you want a more modern example of Travis Picking, go for Tommy Emmanuel:

http://hk.youtube.com/watch?v=1mTfYQP6b6k

Here's Tommy Emmanuel playing a collection of Chet Atkins tunes. Chet Atkins was also a Merle Travis follower but was a pioneer in his own right. Tommy Emmanuel is a Chet Atkins/Merle Travis follower and devotee. Tommy Emmanuel is known for bringing Travis Picking to a whole new advanced level, Travis picking thrice the normal speed - just watch the video. He can certainly go a hell load faster. You'll notice in that video he does a version of, "I'll See you in my Dreams" (see below) and "Cannonball Rag" (see above)

Here's Chet Atkins and Merle Travis playing a duet called I'll See you in my dreams (a Merle Tune)

http://hk.youtube.com/watch?v=dZ0Q9lvu2mY

And here's Chet playing Dark Eyes, live

http://hk.youtube.com/watch?v=bcMB-vtyCBI

You'll notice the technique - playing rhythem and lead on one hand - the thumb as the rhythem and the fingers as lead. It's a very difficult technique to master. Merle Travis picking is only for the more advanced student.

Here's Tommy Emmanuel playing Over the Rainbow (closeup on the guitar and picking fingers):

http://hk.youtube.com/watch?v=fZNJf-h7F8s

Be prepared to be shocked about how difficult Travis picking is.

Oh, and here's Stars and Stripes by Chet Atkins displaying the Merle Travis Technique:

Chet is my all time favourite guitar player, bar none. May he rest in peace. A lot of you need to really get off your backsides and start listening to the old guys.

Here's another video of Les Paul and Chet Atkins rocking out during their 60s and 70s, who frequently did duets. You won't ever see that much dedication in this present age. The new music era is failing hard and I stand by my opinion.

http://hk.youtube.com/watch?v=HfjD680wQJI

I'm certain that 95% of guitarists have never even heard Les Paul play. Shame on you.

Here's another Les Paul video with Mary Ford, called Alabamy Bound
