what are some good rock songs that have 3 basic chords? can you guys please help me cuz i'm teaching a kid to play guitar and we need more songs to practice.

The basic chords he knows are:
A
Am
C
D
E
Em
G

If you guys could help that would be really great!!!

thanks guys. oh, and 4 chords is fine. but probably no more than 5 or 6. knockin on heavens door has F in it... but maybe. and wonderwall probably not because he doesn't have a capo. (you need a capo for wonderwall). yeah, more suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Teach him teach him barre chords.

After that he will know all of the minor and major chords.
Then you can play songs with 24 chords!
