mock if you want, but some stuff by Jonas Brothers will introduce you to basic power chords and then you could move on to "Iron Man" it has a very basic riff and will acustom you to the neck of your guitar. if you don't want that there is always mary had a little lamb, but that is a worthless song. don't ever bother with it.

no.

And if you want to play some GOOD music and basic power chords, play Nirvana songs, they are all easy and sounds awsome.

limelight by rush... or hells bells by ac/dc... or sweet child o mine(just the intro p.s. its easier than it looks) by GNR.

these are the main songs i started with when i made the switch to electric, but if you are still on acoustic go with practicing chords and chord switching.

btw i couldnt play the whole thing on these songs i would go about playing various sections(mainly the beginning) and doing them over and over until they are perfect.

This Year's Love, David Grey, if you like that kind of music. 5 chords, good change practice from C-->D.

Truth be spoken!

Anyway, I would recommend Iron Man, Vultures by Offspring (basic power chords, easy intro), maybe some Blink 182 songs...

And a finger exercise my brother taught me:
You play on the High E string for this. But technically, I guess you could play this on any string.

0-1-2-3-4-4-3-2-1-0

It's a basic finger exercise, which uses all your fingers. And don't try to cheat yourself into using Hammer-ons and Pull-offs.

I forgot what it builds up, but I think it builds up speed a little bit.

Iron Man, Sunshine Of Your Love, Heartbreaker, Smoke On The Water, Free Fallin', and even You Really Got Me if you want to play it slower than normal, though it's pretty easy.

Learn all the postitions of the Minor Pentatonic scale, and practice Alternate picking while running through them.

I would be SO much farther ahead than I am now if I did that.

i don't know of any specifically but (not)GODhimself37 might.

Ask him.
