ESPN is starting a segment on "sports Mount Rushmores" of particular geographical areas. For instance, the Chicago sports Rushmore might include Mike Ditka, Michael Jordan, Ernie Banks, and Harry Caray.

So who's on the sports Rushmore in your area?

I live in Wisconsin, so I'd say the sports Rushmore here probably includes Vince Lombardi, Brett Favre, Robin Yount, and Lew Alcindor/ Kareem Abdul-Jabbar.

You're missing the point. You have to pick four. Therein lies the challenge.

If you're from Chicago, why are Favre, Aaron, and Gretzky on the list?

X2

I was gonna say Walter Payton, Michael Jordan, Harry Caray, and Carlton Fisk.

From Detroit,it would be Al Kaline,Steve Yzerman,Barry Sanders and Isiah Thomas.

Greater Cleveland:

Paul Brown, Jim Brown, Woody Hayes, LeBron James (yes, already)

EDIT: Changing it because I thought about it again.

Cleveland:

Paul Brown - Did a heck of a lot for football that goes unnoticed
Jim Brown - Arguably the greatest of all time
Bernie Kosar - Wasn't really an al-time great, but he was the most beloved athlete ever in Ohio sports history
LeBron James - He's already good enough. Easily the best Cavalier of all time and is the best player currently in the NBA

I don't live in Detroit, but as a Red Wings and Tigers fan, I would have to agree with punkbri's list.

Toronto area

Chris Bosh, Damon Allen, whoever the **** was sick on the Leafs back when they were good like 900 years ago, and Joe Carter

Yeah it sucks being a Toronto sports fan

But if I could pick athletes from any area, I'd definitely go with

Mohammad Ali, Michael Jordan, Wayne Gretzky and Michael Phelps

Boston

Baseball: Carl Yastrzemski, Cy Young, Johnny Pesky, Ted Williams, David Ortiz, Jerry Remy
Basketball: Red Auerbach, Bill Russell, Bob Cousy, Larry Bird, Paul Pierce
Football: Steve Grogan, Doug Flutie, Tom Brady, Tedy Bruschi, Bill Belichick
Hockey: Bobby Orr, Ray Bourque, Phil Esposito, Cam Neely, Terry O'Reilly

I kinda went with the Cliches because they are the most popular and recognizable sports players in Boston to the outside media...
