Why do we call countries like the USSR and China communism?
They were SOCIALISM!!! the name even says it: union of socialistic sovjetrepublics (that would be the name translated from dutch anyway)
A communistic country = anarchistic, there is no government. Marx thought there was no need for one because everything takes care of itself, everyone works together.

So why are we so stupid to call the USSR which, is kinda like the opposite, communism?

ps. I am not english, so keep your grammarnazi****

They have nothing in common...

Although anarchists share a rejection of the state, they differ about economic arrangements and possible rules that would prevail in a stateless society, ranging from complete common ownership and distribution according to need, to supporters of private property and free market competition. For example, most forms of anarchism, such as that of anarcho-collectivism, anarcho-communism or anarcho-syndicalism not only seek rejection of the state, but also other systems which they perceive as authoritarian, which includes capitalism,

Not really.

Sure, there's an offshoot of communism that has ties with Anarchy, but true Communism has little, if anything, to do with it.

you should learn what communism is then.
A communistic country has NO GOVERNMENT and everyone is his own boss... how more anarchistic can you get?

I agree, and so should 95% of people. Still, communism is "teh evilzz" and most people are unwilling to question what they are taught, so what we gonna do?

...Good damn it, I thought I got away from my dumbass political friends when I graduated high school...

True form of Communism is basically a Democracy. Which, someone of your apparent knowledge, will know is the opposite of Anarchy.

They were Stalinist and Maoist respectively, which are entirely separate from both Marx's (vague) definition of socialism and Socialism as it is now known which is epitomised by systems in Scandinavia, France and Britain etc.

Sheesh. USSR and China were not, nor were they ever, Communist. They both suffered from Stalinist policies of Isolationism and general arse-everything-uppery. We have never had a true communist country. Ever. Cuba's pretty close, but that's about it.

a nation that is called 'Communist' is defined not by the fact that it is a communistic society but that the aim of the government is for the creation for Communism,

that is the same as defining someone as a communist or socialist, a socialist is one who believes socialism is the final stage whereas a communist would see socialism as a stepping stone to communism

definition of socialism and Socialism as it is now known which is epitomised by systems in Scandinavia, France and Britain etc

pfft i wouldn't call a vaguely market socialist country socialist atall

China is a much better example of market socialism, in which the state owns the banks which lend the money for private business, as well as the state having a stake, or owning, the major parts of industry

socialism...marxism...communism...in reality it all leads to a gigantic gov state with too much power. You would think people would understand that the most successful and prosperous nation in the world are capitalist...but I forgot, its cool to be a little Maoist and hate on "old white guys" and the middle class who actualy worked hard for their money instead of bitching on the internet about a proven failed system.
