I dinged my Les Paul Studio the other day and It left a tiny Imprint (a little nick) on the metal fret where the B string hit it. Every time I bend a note at that fret it catches the little nick and "pings" the string and its bugging me.

Is there a way to fix this without replacing the fret? Can I sand it? What would you suggest I do?

Any advice is appreciated,

My guess is you would have to replace the fret and have it leveled to match the rest.

If you try and sand the ding out that fret will be lower than the rest, and you will get a new problem of buzzing when ever you try and fret it. You could have the entire fretboard leveled to match the sanded down fret, but then your talking alot of work and a lot of fret life lost just over one fret.
