Hi, i've been looking around for a particular type of guitar stand that is used by Steve Vai on Live at the Astoria, and by Yngwie Malmsteen on G3 at Denver. It's basically a stand that holds the guitar in position so that you can play it without holding it. I've tried searching google for different guitar stand manufacturers but haven't had any luck. Does anybody know who makes these stands? Thanks

Have you tried asking around local music shops? They could always be custom make, meaning a mic stand or similar with a clamp attached to it.

how do those marshall handles compare tonewise to, say, mesa handles?
