I wasn't sure whether or not to put this in here or the gear forum, so sorry if it should go there!

But I'm thinking about making a trade, my '04 Fender Hot Rod Deluxe for this guys mid 90s Trace Elliot Commando 15. What can you tell me about trace elliot? Reliable? Tonewise and all that good stuff. He said it has a value of about $350 which is roughly what I would want to get if I sold my Fender. Is that a fair price? Here's some pics, looks a little old but I guess 90s models do. Thanks for the input!

Gibson Faded V
Warmoth Strat copy
Epiphone Hummingbird (FS!!)
Ibanez SR400QM
Fender BXR100

Don't do it. I wouldn't trade a HRD for that. Trace Elliot makes good stuff but.. Think about it. You'd be going Commando.

I'd pass on that. Trace makes good gear, but you'd be trading an awesome guitar amp for a bass amp that can only be used for practice and small gigs.
Nope, no sig here.

Ok Trace make excellent gear, its really good, and only wish i could afford it, but this amp isnt great for trace, it is a fairly small practise amp. Get something else, ashdown maybe, there founded by trace engineers.

Ya and for their quality affordable, well made, gear. They have moved to china, but still make many products in Endland and America, as in the Us series, and Mark King sig and kyrstil. One in evrey i dont know wont work.

I don't recommend Ashdown gear, they are well known for their reliability issues.

I believe this is a fairly old problem that has since been fixed. I know so many people with Ashdown stuff who have never had a problem with it and I've had nothing wrong with mine either.

TS, don't do the swap, I'd love a HRD .

That's a 15 in speaker right? Then how many watts is this thing getting? If its like 80 then i probably wouldn't call it a small practice amp.
GEAR:

Ibanez GSR205FM

Trace Elliot GP7SM 200watt bass combo

If the Trace Elliot was in a Pawn shop I can picture it going for $250-$280. An HRD would go for $350-$425 maybe more. I'd still say no.

It's too small for rehearsals and gigs so it's a practice amp.
