How loud should a 120w amp be to be at a good clean volume with drums?

So the amp isn't overpowering the drums, and viceversa.

3/10?

It's nothing until you reach 11.

The drummer beats the sh*t out of the drums.. we kind of sound like underoath. So we need the tone to be crystal clear for the "pretty" chords

Dude... Just start at 11 and turn down until you can hear the drummer.

Don't worry about too loud as much as not being loud enough. But, if all you hear is cymbals from the drummer your probably too loud.
