Thought of the day

What if everything we do is controlled by the initial explosion of universe?
What if we could model the world by molecules, exactly and predict every single reaction?
supposing we had enough computer power to do it?
Could we model a creature?
Would it learn and behave?
could it evolve and understand?
could it become... life?
if so, could we teach it and how it learns and reacts?
could we learn how we came about?
could we make it have a soul and friends and a sense of identity?
what if we modelled a universe full of life and watched it explore the universe?
and in turn we have spawned life and sentience that we could never let die?
what if the universe we spawned does the same in it's world. what if we are a computer program too???
the computance required is obviously still several generations ahead of us but what if...

Ai? nueral networks? pah. The key to solving it is modelling so exact as it is to us that we realise that we are all supposed to do everything we do by a predetermined outset but what created the inital spark in the supposed first universe? perhaps ai should never be completed it feels quite far to do today.

A creature would already be considered "life," dontchya think?

ok
here's what you do
1. Take a fork, preferably metal.
2. Put some tomato sauce on it.
3. Let tomato sauce on fork dry.
4. Turn it in and call it: "The Spaghetti Massacre."

it's a modelled creature though... if we created a sentient program can electrons be considered life? In turn are we?

What would you be considered to be if you were born 9 months prematurely?

Pooping is well good though, to be fair.

I've got a handle on the fiction.

I'm losing my grip, 'cos I'm losing my fingers.

The correct answer is:

"a stain"

Look up determinism and stop wasting our time.

This.

Besides, while the calculations would probably technically be possible, you'd have to be ridiculously accurate in order to predict anything accurately for more than a few moments. With that many factors, everything down the exact states of subatomic particles makes a difference. And on top of that, Heisenberg says we can never know all the factors exactly anyways.
There will probably be a signature here at some point.
