Hey there.
I'm thinking about changing the pickups on my Strat. Not totally decided yet, just want to hear some opinions.

Here are the specs of what would need/want:
- 3 single-coils;
- i want to preserve the typical Stratocaster feel and sound;
- i'll use it mainly for rock, since i'll get a new guitar with humbuckers to play metal (probably a Paul Reed Smith Custom 22);
- I really like the sound of Mike McCready's 1959 Stratocaster.

Suggestions?

Original 57/62 Strat pickups.

Thanks. This sounds kinda like what i'm searching for.
I saw them at the Fender website a while ago, and they caught my eye.
Plus, they're not very expensive, so that's good.

More opinions, anyone?

if you like the sound of his strat then you can either hunt him down, kill him, and steal his guitar or find out what pickups he has on his strat, buy them and drop them into your strat. either way you'll still need his amps and pedals to get the whole sound but it'll be a good starting point.
