Okay this is starting to really frustrate me. I've been learning this song for a few weeks now and I still cannot figure out where in the hell to play this harmonic at.

Earlier on here, someone helped confirm that its an A# note prebent and released down to A. I did a freakin frequency analysis on that section of the song (yes i'm determined) and found that to be right. Its exactly in the 6th octave at A# = 1865hz.

This guy nails it perfectly: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xGekrm9X3Xg @ 2:09
But I still can't figure out where he's playing it at.

At the point in the solo, you are around the 7th/8th fret or so on the D and G strings. He /seems/ to play it on the G string, but there's no way to play that note harmonically there in that position. However, if you play the A# on the D string (8th fret), you'd need a 3 octave jump to get to the note. Which is a hard-as hell to play harmonic right? It'd need to be a 2.3rd fret harmonic.

someone help me
this is a post. there are many like it but this one is mine

It's not about where you fret - it's about where you pick, you need to find the right harmonic node so move around a bit.

I made a diagram even where it's located, I don't know how I can explain it more other then if u were sitting next to me in real life.

*checks vid *

edit 7th fret G string;

(N)|---P---|-------------o--------|---P---| (B)

P = pickups
N = Neck
B = Bridge
o = Pinch location
