Ok I want to say "I was thirSty for the whole trip." *Fixed

is it "tuve sed todo el viaje" (preterite)

or "tenía sed todo el viaje" (imperfect)

I would think it would be tenia, but since there is a time limitation imposed (the entire trip) would that make it tuve? Thanks for help.

the second one. you could say

"tuve sed durante todo el viaje"
or
"tenia sed durante el viaje"

both are right.

Ok 1 more question.

Estaba fatigado después de que caminé en el fondo del cañón.

Is it estaba or estuve? I would think estaba but is this considered like a "changed condition / reaction" that would make it preterite?

estuve sediento durante todo el viaje, boludo! soy argentino! :P

Basically....yea.

Well Spanish was my first language as a wee lad (I'm Mexican), but I learned English simultaneously watching the Ninja Turtles and eventually English took over.

Magnum has it. Although here in Argentina the 1st one would be fine too.
